She aims to create the greatest number of optical illusion portraits on paper in five (5) days, totaling 120 hours. By taking on this global challenge, Ivory Coast will make its entry into the prestigious Guinness World Records in this artistic discipline.
Ahead of this major event, the artist was received on Thursday, January 16, 2025, by the Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Françoise Remarck, at her office in Abidjan-Plateau. During this meeting focused on the practical organization, the minister expressed her unwavering support and assured her that stakeholders in the arts and culture sector would mobilize to make this event a great public celebration, similar to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
To prepare for the challenge, which includes muscle strengthening, cardio, and relaxation, each session brings Amon Mylène closer to her goal. She was also welcomed by Éric Djibo, CEO of the Polyclinique internationale Sainte Anne-Marie (Pisam). « This meeting laid the foundation for a key medical partnership to ensure my physical, mental, and psychological support before, during, and after the Guinness challenge. Pisam has committed to supporting us throughout this adventure. A huge thank you for this valuable support, which strengthens our determination to achieve this historic goal », she wrote on her Facebook page.
On January 17, 2025, she was received by Traoré Salif, aka A'Salfo, who offered his support and valuable advice for the historic challenge. « His presence and encouragement strengthen my determination to proudly represent Ivory Coast and succeed in this Guinness World Record. Together, we show that art and culture are forces that unite and elevate us », she shared on her Facebook page. She also mentioned Soumahoro Moriféré, aka Le Molare, who received her on January 15, 2025. « Through his invaluable advice and recommendations, he plays a key role in the success of my Guinness Record challenge. I want to express my deep gratitude for his commitment to supporting me. He also confirmed his presence from February 5 to 10 at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé to experience this great adventure with us », she wrote on the same social network.
Amon Mylène, a 32-year-old Ivorian artist, is from Grand-Bassam (Southern coastal Ivory Coast). The eldest of four children, she obtained a Higher Technical Certificate (BTS) in Commercial Management before turning to activities related to art and creativity. Her interest in art led her to explore various professions, including makeup artist (aesthetic and cinematographic), fashion designer specializing in tradi-modern attire, decorator, and portrait artist.
Through her participation in the Guinness World Records in painting, Mylène aims to promote handcrafted work, innovation, and creativity, especially among women.
