A media game of deception has been unfolding for the past few weeks. After the recent statement by a faction of the Adjamé Gouro Market Cooperative (COMAGOA) on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, another group has now stepped forward to continue the controversy.

On Friday, January 24, 2025, these members held a press conference at the Adjamé town hall, where they denounced the construction lease contract binding them to the designated developer for the project, Digital Partners Immobilier (DIPIMO). The General Director (GD) of this organization, Alexis Youan Bi, set the tone.

« DIPIMO informed us that it had the material, financial, and human resources to transform this project into a modern market. It was also agreed that they would pay one billion CFA francs to COMAGOA within two years, meaning 18 months,» he explained. According to him, after this deadline, the construction project remains at an "embryonic" stage. This is why he is calling for the contract with the developer to be revoked. He further stated that, under the contract, the accused party was supposed to pay one billion CFA francs to COMAGOA members for the "operation" of this structure.

« But to this day, we have received nothing,» argued Alexis Youan Bi, in the presence of the General Director of the National Federation of Trade Actors of Côte d'Ivoire (FENACCI), Karim Sanogo. « I want to make it clear that we no longer want this contract. It should be terminated purely and simply », he added before condemning the « subscription acts » allegedly committed by the developer.

During this press conference, the manager of the "Petit Lomé" market, Tou Diakité, and the representative of the "Forum" market claimed to have handed over several million CFA francs to the accused party. According to them, these amounts were meant to reserve stores in the ultra-modern market.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, during a press conference held at the construction site, several women reaffirmed their support for the developer. « My sisters need to come. There are 43 of us in the cooperative. We need to find common ground. They shouldn't listen to the men involved. They need to come. The market is being built. We entrusted the project to DIPIMO, and DIPIMO will complete it, » urged Sei Suzanne, wife of Traby, a COMAGOA member.

On that occasion, DIPIMO’s legal representative, Kouadio N'Dri Francis, called on all stakeholders to exercise restraint. According to him, there is an intention to manipulate these women behind all this "noise."
